This is the place to download a fully functional TWAIN driver for the Matrox frame grabber boards. The only restriction, that you will see (as long as you don't purchase the software), is the link to this web site embedded the grabbed image. The software consists basically of two parts: the board specific low-level driver and the real TWAIN driver on top of this low-level driver. The low-lever driver package from Matrox controls the actual hardware and is basically a set of DLL's and kernel driver with their proprietary programming interface, that is developed from Matrox and free for distribution. If you don't have this part e.g. directly from Matrox (needed is MIL-Lite Version 7.5 or above), you can download this package here (see below). The TWAIN driver itself is a communication layer between the low-level driver and your application, that supports the standardized user interface and translates these generic commands to the hardware specific commands. This part is copy protected in the registered version. So for every system you need a new license. But to make it as convenient as possible, you can download, install and test the evaluation version of the driver for free as often as you want. So if you decide to order it (send an e-mail to sales), you know exactly what you get. |

Software for the Meteor2 (also Meteor2-MC), CronosPlus and Orion frame grabber You first need to install the low level driver (supports Win98SE (not CronosPlus), NT 4.0, Win2k and Win XP) ATTENTION: run the install.bat, not Setup.exe Then you can simply copy the contens of these TWAIN drivers to the .\windows\twain_32 directory
